This is one of my favorite MLK speeches. It is lesser known, because it is more controversial than his other famous speeches. What I like most about it is that it takes much of the same philosophy behind the racism issue and broadens it out to look at the “triple evils of racism, economic exploitation, and militarism.” In my mind all of these things are connected.
And then there is the call to activism, which I love: “There comes a time where silence becomes betrayal”
